"Beautiful view from our yurt, but it was not clear in the listing that the yurt had no running water or bathroom IN the yurt. We had a separate private bathroom a short distance from the yurt with 2 toilets, one being an incinerator type (A little complicated, but doable), a shower, and a sink. All dishes had to be taken from the yurt to the bathroom sink to wash them. There was bottled water in the yurt for drinking. Good refrigerator. "This is a very nice spot, with a serene view to the ocean over a herd of grazing cattle. The cottage is also unique with most everything you need to make meals and relax. The bath is nice as well with a large shower. The day bed (single) is a firm foam mattress and quite comfortable.. Alas, the double bed is worn and most uncomfortable. I'm sure that the owners have scheduled a replacement of the bed and upgrading it to a queen. We would very definitely stay here again."

"My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was perfect. The views from the lanai are EVEN BETTER than the pictures. Seriously, you can’t find views like that anywhere else on the Big Island. The VRBO was excellent, cozy with everything you could possibly need. "Our stay at Catrinka’s hale was stunning. Every morning I couldn’t believe the breeze coming through, and the views and sounds of nature out every window. It’s a quick drive to Waimea coffee company or Hapuna beach! There were many useful odds and ends as far as kitchen, toiletry, and beach items. Tape and scissors! We swapped pillows for the ones in the closet that were more like ours at home. Any time I needed something I was able to find it, if I wasn’t I knew Catrinka was a phone call away....

Met Sean who shared some insights about the area and local cuisine. Ashley was great at communicating and checking in with us via VRBO messages.
