"Beautiful hotel and nicely decorated rooms. At check-in, reception staff called Victoria was not very welcome and did not seem keen on relocating us to another room (the one given to us was on a lower level and the lift was out of order). I was with a 1 year old child, pregnant and had heavy suitcases, however she insisted there's was nothing she could do to help, treated us poorly and did not seem to care. "Lovley old original property, our room had a nice view of the castle. Dinner was superb but we couldn’t reccomend the breakfast , The buffet ran out completely ( orange juice toast etc ) and wasn’t replenished for over half an hour in spite of us asking . We waited over an hour for our cooked breakfast to arrive . When it did arrive there was one rasher of bacon, one sausage, half a mushroom and one fried egg. I’m not a greedy person but it didn’t seem like a lot for £15. After waiting so long...

"Very good quality. Feels very comfortable. Good for touring area as far away as Snowdonia. Guests should have access to spa at all times it is open, not have to pay from 9 - 5. Because these times are pay for I would not class it as a spa hotel."

"Die Unterkunft ist ein Traum, wunderschönes Gebäude mit viel Charme. Die Zimmer sind groß und sensationell eingerichtet. Wer auf alte Gemäuer steht, muss hier einfach übernachten. John hat ein tolles Frühstück gezaubert und ist ein hervorragender Gastgeber. Absolut empfehlenswert, jederzeit wieder!!!"
