"This place was exactly what I had hoped for it to be: a peaceful abode in a picturesque location where I could find solitude and time for creative contemplation. Would love to visit again sometime in the future!"

"It was quiet and beautiful. The cabin is definitely rustic, although has all the amenities you want, (wifi, dishwasher, etc.) There is a gorgeous nature preserve close by, and I took walks and did an enormous jigsaw puzzle while feeling like I was in a treehouse. "

"Our VRBO rental on Lopez Island was a very relaxing place. It was easy to find, The property was in a beautiful secluded spot on the island. Most evenings we drove / hiked to Shark Reef Sanctuary to watch the sunset. 50 years ago I first visited the San Juan Islands, and I hoped someday I would return. "We loved our stay at the Orcas Forest House. Peaceful surroundings and wonderful space to spend a few days and relax. The house includes so many fun details to discover and has everything we needed for our stay. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals, and having laundry on site was another bonus. Close enough to Eastsound to easily head in for dinner or shopping, but far enough out that you felt secluded. One of the most unique places we've ever stayed, and we would absolutely book again if...

"We recently stayed at this house on Lopez Island and, while it has a beautiful view and the potential to be charming, it’s important to know what to expect. The house had an eerie, somewhat neglected feel to it. There were bugs inside, a noticeable odor, and it didn’t seem ready for guests—very bare with no Wi-Fi. Upon arrival, the sliding glass door was left wide open, which was unsettling. The neighborhood has close neighbors, so privacy was limited, and there were no coverings on some of the...

"House was in a gorgeous (if remote compared to the amenities on the island) location. Other reviewers remarked that the interior is a bit dated - it is, but the property was clean and well-maintained. We found the external lockbox (with the key) difficult to open, but otherwise no complaints. "

"We loved our stay at Quarry Point. It was super close to Roche but was felt like a quiet and quaint retreat from the hustle and bustle of the harbor."

"We had an incredible stay that exceeded our expectations. This is one of the most unique properties I've stayed, especially in the San Juans. It's a stunning location with everything you need right on site. The owners were very responsive. It was very clean. And, it's especially great if you want to kayak or use the on site dock.
