"Very clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful. The house is a little worn and could use some TLC. We could smell weed wafting into our room several times during our short stay. Also, the Hester in the room, which is a wall unit kept clicking on and off through the night, making it tough to sleep "

"It seems clear from the review of other guests that Village 1 does not meet expectations and it was no different for us. Unfortunately I had not read those reviews before booking. We paid for a place with a view which was in a mountain location and isolated location and we got a very old historic house right next to the city centre. "Beautiful property. Comfortable mattress and bedding. Staff was warm and helpful. Great location. Breakfast could be served past 9am on the weekend to allow guests time to sleep in. We would love to stay again when in the area. "

"Really enjoyed the Victorian ambiance, the intricate woodwork, the period furniture and setup, even the draftyness in the halls at night when it was cold outside. Breakfast was amazing both days, the host (Jim) was kind and generous. We will definitely be staying there again soon."

"This stay was a wonderful experience. Coleen was the ultimate inn keeper. "

"First time bed and breakfast experience. Can I tell you, the host Nash was wonderful. We were there for a week long Cooperstown tournament at dreams park. The house is located about 20 minutes from the park but easy to get to. We ate delicious gourmet breakfast everyday compliments of the host. Delicious coffee too! I highly recommend renting the room with beautiful view, If not , you can hang out on deck. Swim, fish etc. Thank you dealrly! "
