"Limited hot water at first. Then no hot water at all. Desk clerk and maintenance (?) man brushed it off by saying the hot water is on another wing. Then tried to spin it on us. They simply did not care. "

"Had a great week here, even though a snowstorm shut the city down for three days. We stayed in a studio, #211 and were pleasantly surprised to find that it had a gas fireplace. It was nicely equipped for two people for a one week stay. We did hear people walking in the room above us, and sometimes music from the restaurant below. Comcast internet was extremely spotty to non-existent. Also, while there are two big screen TVs, the cable box does not provide an HD signal. Can’t beat the...

"Very comfortable and clean location. The employees at the location were very kind and helpful. One made quite a few odd and kind of rude comments toward me, but other than that the stay was wonderful. I didn't spend much time in the room because I was enjoying exploring Chareston, the building was in a great central location on King Street. Made walking and biking a breeze."

"The biggest issue, which is probably the largest complaint that anyone has of visiting downtown Charleston, is the absurdly expensive parking. The Lodge Alley Inn is a marvelous and convenient place to stay and it is very affordable. I remember that back in 2006 when I signed up for a Bluegreen timeshare the parking was free or almost so."
