"This is a family run hotel in a Victorian building. Our room was really large with a high ceiling with a sea view on the ground floor. Staff were very helpful and bent over backwards to resolve a couple of small issues with the room. The hotel has a spa and also provides evening entertainment even in low season when we visited. "An excellent find - Great well appointed room, very clean and a very comfy bed. Bathroom was very clean and an excellent shower. Little touches like biscuits and chocolate treats were totally unexpected but gratefully received. Staff were very polite and provided an excellent service. The included breakfast was great. "Nice welcome by staff/ owner. Room wasn’t cleaned properly. The en-suite bathroom had a very bad smell of mould. Was told on arrival that there were no housekeeping services anymore. I had to ask for towels as none were left in the room and when I received it, it had tooth paste on it. States free parking, this is not true all streets around the lodge are permit parking only, so had to use a car park and pay and walk back to the lodge.
