"We loved this beach house. The owners were fantastic to work with we had great communication. This was the first vacation that we brought our dog, and the house was perfect for it. So many nice little touches that made our stay with our pup easier. Plenty of dog dishes and water bowls. We loved the easy access to the beach, the convenience to the shops nearby, and especially loved the jacuzzi! The house was nice and clean and comfortable. "This was the first VRBO house i have ever rented that I didnt need to go buy anything for. Very well stocked with everything you may need. The pool was absolutely amaxing and the brach was so close! The hot tub was so nice for relaxing after a long day of playing in the sun.Will book this place again for sure!"

"There were several areas of uncleanliness. The bunk beds had dead bugs in them and the shower curtain had mold on the clear liner. The hot tub had black mold in it. None of the tv remotes had any batteries. Otherwise it was a beautiful home with amazing views!"

"Great stay for a small group of kiters/windsurfers. Short drive to the washout and kite point. A bit weak on kitchen supplies / weak Wi-Fi signal. "

"My family enjoyed there trip there. I think the only thing they were not sure about is the dark outside. So it may be a seasonal thing because of turtle season so you have to be careful walking around property but know one else had outside lights too. Very enjoyable overall"

"We encountered a few issues during our stay. There was some large dog waste left in the backyard from previous guests, and while the pool and hot tub had just been cleaned (Friday), the lawn service came the next morning and ended up blowing grass clippings into the pool. We also had an issue with ants coming out of one of the kitchen outlets. "Came out there for my birthday. We did lots of fishing. Pros: nice and quiet neighborhood, elevator, big house, washer and dryer on 3rd floor, big parking lot, 5-10 min walk to the beach, pool, big kitchen, house is close to many things, 20-30 mins to bronner bridge. Con: elevator light did not work for us, 1st floor smell moldy, many of the door locks on 3rd floor did not lock, sink plugs in the restroom did not work, cleaning crew didn’t do a good job cleaning ( had lots of hair in the...

"Overall wonderful stay with impressive service and responsiveness by Vacasa (with just a coupleof minor things we reported after checking in. We only asked for 1 to be addressed and they went ahead and addressed another.) Puzzled by the vague 2-star review by priir guest obviously dissatisfied as we found the home exactly as portrayed in listing pics & info. 🤔 Location perfect for off the beaten path, quiet off-season family getaway!"

"We had an awesome week at Hunter Haven! The beach decor was perfect! We had everything we needed and wanted. The king bed was roomy and comfy. The kitchen was well equipped. We were happy we could bring along our 2 little dogs Yogi and Clementine who had a great time. We found amazing shells and the weather was perfect. The food was delicious. "We’ve stayed at many places on Hatteras Island and this is definitely one of our favorites. Everything was so easy thanks to Stewart the owner who is so easy to talk to and is helpful at every turn. The house is incredible, roomy and laid out perfectly. The crows nest is a great touch! I hope we get to stay here again sometime."
