"Unbelievably friendly assistance at check-in from Jo. I had booked the wrong set of rooms for our family of five, which she resolved in a very efficient and accommodating manner. Unexpectedly spacious rooms with gorgeous views. It beat our lofty expectations, and we will definitely hope to stay here again when we can return to Macrihanish in the future. "

"The apartment is located in a good spot to access town, the views from the apartment are stunning however, the apartment itself was not clean. The bathroom had mould growing, the towels didn’t smell great, the kitchen was tidy and had all the dishes we needed but in some places sticky and dirty. The couch in the living room was filled with crumbs and stains that were not ours! The cloth headboard in the bedroom wasn’t clean but the bedding and sheets were clean and smelled fresh. "

"From the outside this accommodation does not look promising- a ground floor property in a block of council flats, the shared hallway is pretty bleak. But the flat itself was fine, a bit basic but it had everything we needed, nice and clean, plenty of towels, quiet despite being next to a busy road. Parking was difficult - in theory there is on street parking but there is a Vehicle Hire/Garage business next door so all the parking spaces are taken up by their vehicles. However there is plenty...

"No contact from Homeaway regarding getting keys etc. Hours spent on the phone to various "customer service". Found out myself that it was managed by cottages. com. Logged in to their website to find all the information there. Probably spent too much money by booking through Homeaway rather than direct with Cottages. Com. Views were stunning, great location. "The property has a cosy comfy cottage feel and look internally. The bed was comfy as well. The viewing room above is great for reading etc. The Lookout really is a great place for viewing the sea and surrounding vistas! We enjoyed a very peaceful week away from normal life and noise. "This place was perfect four the four of us and could have easily accommodated 4 more. Everything was there and communication was easy and responsive. The place was very quiet and clean and has great views. We were able to have my aunts and uncles over for some guitar playing and singing and there was plenty of seating. "We had a lovely time in the property, the house was great and the welcome basket was a perfect touch! Part of the reason we chose to come was for its proximity to the two Machrihanish courses but we didn't quite realise how great the beaches are as well!
