"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Blue House. It is small, but had every thing we needed and It sits on a beautiful and quiet beach. Surrounding area is very friendly. We shopped at the nearby markets and ate at nearby sodas. Our hosts were wonderful. Digna and her husband were warm and welcoming. We felt very comfortable. "

"This home on Playa Potrero had everything we needed for our party of 13 adults and 4 boys, ages 5 to 8 to enjoy 8 days in Costa Rica. It was perfect to just walk outside the home and be on the beach, listening to the waves roll in was so relaxing. Greg the property manager was always quick to respond to emails and text messages. "Well kept colonial townhouse 5 min walk from the beach. Traveled with toddlers, so walking to the beach or up to the pool was a bit of a challenge. There’s some noise from the road, but we used WN to sleep, so didn’t really notice. The facilities are great, house had everything we needed. Would stay again."

"Our family had a wonderful stay at Villa Portrero. Everything was perfect!"

"We held our yoga retreat here, and everyone had an amazing time. Plenty of beds, and the house was beautiful. The Chefs were amazing and the cleaning ladies were very nice. It was a GREAT surprise when a lady came by, right after we arrived, stating that they offer massages out on the balcony and gave us their business card. Needless to say some got a massage Mon Wed and Fri. They were great! Highly recommend this home!"

"We spent three weeks here this year, after spending about 10 days last year. We were so glad we went back as this is truly one of our favourite spots in the world, just a short walk to beautiful and quiet beaches, and surrounded by trees and wildlife including howler monkeys. We love being a little off the beaten track but still within walking distance of great restaurants and shops, and a short drive from bigger towns like Flamingo and Tamarindo. "The road up the hill is absolutely horrible even by Costa Rica standards. But the house is better than the photos. The only knock I can give it is one of the bedrooms is downstairs and you have to go up the outside stairs to reach the rest of the house and it doesn’t have hot water in the bathroom. The view is breathtaking and Silvia is an absolute sweetheart and does a great job. All in all I highly recommend it. "

"Em geral tudo ótimo. Um bom hotel para descansar, com boa praia, estrutura e serviços. Havíamos feito uma reserva especial que dava direito a um upgrade - se houvesse disponibilidade - e desconto no restaurante, mas o pessoal do hotel parecia não ter conhecimento. Tivemos que insistir e a final nos deram ambos. De qualquer maneira, isso não nos gerou nenhum desconforto.
