"I had an idea that this place was unique from the reviews I had read. What I didn’t know was the amazing history and story of the moon hole community. During our stay I read a book about the Burke house / moon hole and it’s builder Tom. I found it absolutely fascinating. This place was an onion to me, learning more and more with every layer of its charm and story revealed. The burke house has profoundly touch us with its natural architecture that seamlessly blends inside with the outdoors....

"The hotel is just a short walk to the ferry pier, so very convenient if you are traveling between islands. Breakfast is served in a breezy space with pleasant views. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms facing the main road at the front of the hotel experience a bit of traffic noise, so rooms overlooking the interior courtyard are recommended."

"This is our second visit here. We love the intimate size and the situation of the hotel. It is generally very quiet. Views are stunning. The garden is lovely. The buildings need a bit of maintenance, in particular a fresh coat of paint. The restaurant menu could be significantly improved with fresh fish and more local fruit and vegetables. We love the cocktails and smoothies! "
