"This house was in a great scenic location in a quiet neighborhood on the water. It was about 40 minutes to Bar Harbor/Acadia, but the scenic location made the distance worth it. "Our 3rd stay at Seaside Sanctuary and this time we stayed 2 weeks. Stacey is always super-communicative and the house has everything you could possibly need. We were able to get in some nice day trips down to the Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia National Park, Milbridge, Calais, Eastport, Reversing Falls, Machias & Jasper Beach. We caught a sunrise at West Quoddy Head Lighthouse and explored Cobscook Shores and points around Lubec and the Bold Coast. We spent about 1/2 the time there just "being" at...

"The house is lovely! Very clean, well stocked with basics, nice beds/sheet, towels; great location! Close to town but on side street. Communication with owner was very timely. Local and able to help out in our time of need. Very nice!! We would stay there again in a heartbeat and recommend it to others! Loved it!"

"I loved looking out at the sunrise over the lake each day! Well located to see the rustic back country of Downeast Maine. The house was nice, though it was evident that animals stay there. The kitchen could be better equipped, and patio furniture needs refinishing. Overall, though, it was a great place to stay."

"This house was wonderful! Clean, easy to find on GPS, even in the dark when we arrived and a very quiet location. The view was beautiful. We saw deer in the backyard and across the lake. We utilized the fire pit on a cool night and enjoyed s’mores with our family. The small touches were thoughtful-mini bottles of shampoo & conditioner, mini bars of soap, coffee available for the coffee maker. Beds were comfortable as well. If we’re ever back in this area, I would definitely stay here again. "

"We stayed for several nights and enjoyed our time here. The interior is quite big and there is a lot of open space. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed using the popcorn popper as well. Even though there is no forced air heating or cooling, we felt quite comfortable, even with the outside temperature ranging from 40s to 80s. The internet seems to be using Starlink and was quite fast. The location is fairly convenient. It's about 30 minutes to Bar Harbor and most Acadia...

"What a great getaway for our family! Mighty Oaks had everything you could want, from plenty of room to comfortable living area! The kids had fun shooting hoops and kicking around a soccer ball in the yard, while the adults enjoyed a hot tub. The well appointed kitchen was so functional, we cooked in every night. Highly recommended!"
