"I did not realise that we were staying in a plantation village, with multiple accommodation. I had made a request for two beds and, as it was a slow time of year, we got two bedrooms. Pahala is a very cute town (and currently the only one with a grocery store as the one in Naalehu was no longer as at 28 Jan 25). The people were also really friendly. "The adorable cottage and delightful, whimsical garden grounds had everything we needed for a romantic and inspiring stay. Host Ira was warm and gracious. Our favorite spot. Wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect retreat gave us easy access to Volcano National Park. "

"We enjoyed our experience staying in the yurt! We had wanted to do this for a while, and when the opportunity presented itself, we jumped! The yurt was a great size for two people. It had a refrigerator and a microwave, and also a grill outside. There is electricity, but a different system of plumbing. "in this lovely rainforest college, you wake to so much birdsong, it’s like being in an aviary. perfect for Volcanoes Park, 2 nice local rests, essy drive to Hilo. Stay here!! "

"Perfect for 2-3 people. Very clean and cozy. Close to the park so you can do nighttime viewing of volcano. Easy access and very communicative just."

"Everything was clean and the host is very nice. They did give away my yurt that slept 4 and put me in one that slept 2. Considering I had 3 in my party, it was a bit inconvenient. But the host helped us with a blow up mattress."
