"Very traditional 500 year old Tudor house. It’s beautiful. Has its quirks - sloping squeaky floors, uneven walls, nooks & crannies & so much history! The landlady is a fabulous baker, serving up all homemade mince pies, millionaires shortbread & a homemade bread as part of breakfast! "Extremely well run and homely B&B just outside Keswick. The breakfast was a particular highlight - especially the a la carte menu. Small things (like tea & coffee in the room with fresh milk, flapjacks in reception and USB charging sockets) make a big difference. I also appreciated the excellent advice provided by the hosts on hiking routes and where to eat in Keswick. I only stayed for one night but will stay longer next time. "

"Hotel is in a beautiful area and location. It has a lovely pool which unfortunately we didn’t have time to use as we were spending time with family living locally. We were very kindly upgraded to a suite. It was very spacious and really nice but needs a little TLC in the bathroom with a jacuzzi and the curtain hooks need attention. All things that can be easily addressed. We had dinner on one evening and it was delicious and well presented. Breakfast was okay but do not like having to order...

"Last minute decision to stay over in Keswick after a long walk in the area. Craglands was a budget friendly option. Clean, warm and comfortable rooms. Attenttive, friendly host and superb value for money. "

"The hotel is beautiful with stunning Field and mountains surrounding the hotel. Very open with a good carpark. All the staff were fantastic and accommodated for my medical needs without any issues. I will be coming back here next time I'm in the lakes"

"We had an amazing time. The food amazing in a gorgeous pub. The atmosphere and hospitality was fantastic everyone made us feel welcome very friendly especially the lovely Keith, what a legend! Loved listening to the stories & the history of the building he was brilliant! "Lovely, quiet, peaceful location. Lovely place to stop staff very friendly and helpful and food was fantastic. The room very clean and tidy had a great view of the countryside and the sheep and horses in the field next door."

"Lovely little hotel in an ideal spot, not too far from Keswick, but far enough for quiet. Plenty of walks near by and a good base to set up from to get around. We did take our dogs, and the hotel was very welcoming. The only issue we had was the car park was littered with dog poo and it was a battle to not stand in it. Had this not been an issue, we would have provided 5 stars all round. "

"The hotel is in a quiet rural area out of town. It would be beneficial if you have a car, but there is a good bus service and the bus stop is across the road from the hotel. When we were there the hotel was being renovated but we never found this a problem and everyone was very helpful, lovely staff."
