"My only concern is the safety of the steps I had to navigate to and from the condo. There were railings for some of the steps, but not all, and those were scary. I'm 76 and not nearly as steady or confident as I used to be. I took my walking sticks and that's how I navigated the rail-less steps. These are only 2 or 3 steps long, but with no railing to steady me, they are a horrifying fall risk. I brought the sticks so that I could hike up and down dunes on my way to the lakeshore. "our overall visit was very good. The photo we saw when booking painted a considerably different picture than the reality, making it look much newer than it is. And the building was a lot older than expected and rather dated. However the facility had everything we needed and at a very good price. On balance we would consider returning and just adjust our expectations. Note, we visited in October ( not ski season). Lots of room was nice."

"Good condo in Homestead village. A bit dated, as mentioned in other reviews, but overall a good place to stay with a great view. Very comfortable for 2 couples as each "suite" is on opposite sides of the unit, providing good privacy. A bit tricky finding your way to the beach. Loved the location as we were doing a color tour and wanted something outside of Traverse City (too busy). This place is 10 minutes from Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear Dunes and 30 minutes from Fishtown and Sutton's Bay. ...

"Nice updates to a classic spacious condo. The three story climb is totally worth the views. We were all comfortable and didn't feel like we were tripping over each other. "We stayed here for a few nights in October for a short fall getaway, and we really enjoyed it. The property is in a great location for hiking, wineries, and access to activities in Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear Dunes. The condo was squeaky clean, beautifully decorated, well equipped, and very comfortable. Our host was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!"

"We stayed in Units 9 and 10 August 11-16, 2024. All in all I would stay again. Minor things are: The sink faucet leaked really bad, but they replaced it in a timely fashion, there are mouse bait stations set around the kitchen, baths, and bedrooms, and we did see mouse droppings on the kitchen counter. My wife wiped the counter down with bleach and we hid our counter top food in our cooler and didn't see any more evidence. The carpet is worn and needs replaced and the deck facing the river...

"Loved the location. Condo was clean and well supplied. The appliances could use an update and the paneling in the kitchen eating area was damaged and in need of repair. Loved the screened in porch and the porch that wasn't screened in. Great place to catch up after a fun day. We would stay again."

"South.Beach unit eight is extremely well stocked, clean and great walking access to the beach. I have walking difficulty and enjoyed the easy access and we all loved the views and sunsets. "This condo is located in a beautiful area, a short distance to downtown Glen Arbor and the beach. It was clean, well stocked with towels/kitchen supplies and had a very relaxing covered deck. We enjoyed walking and exploring the Homestead Resort and had the most amazing view of Lake Michigan at the top of the ski resort. Communication with Tammy was exceptional. I would highly recommend this property."
