"Overall the house was pleasantly decorated and had lots of old charm. However, it could do with a really deep clean so that there is a fresh slate for changeover cleans. There were cobwebs above each doorway and in all of the windows (including the bedrooms). The insides of the draws and cupboards in the kitchen were very grubby and there were personal effects in the wardrobes upstairs (perhaps these could be moved to a locked cupboard when the property is rented out). "We had a lovely week away here with family. It’s a beautiful, quiet spot, with the coast a short walk in all directions. Fal Cottages were very helpful when I had some questions before arrival. After departure we gave some feedback by email of some necessary maintenance issues, and a suggested improvement (a mirror in the family bathroom would be very useful), so hopefully these will be acted upon quickly."

"We had a wonderful week in Pennant. It was light and airy and the big plus was the view of the harbour and estuary. The books were interesting. The paintings and placemats were appreciated. A few improvements needed...we both hit our head on the air-extractor over the hob but you probably can’t remedy that. The shower was extremely slow to drain, the clothes washer was noisy, and there was no spare black bin bag to help us pack up, although the instructions said we should use the bags provided....

"Rented this house with my girlfriend. An absolutely stunning house with an incredible view of the beautiful Cornwall beach! The ocean waves and beach are extremely close... paradise! "Overall Towan is a nice little cottage however there is no privacy at all ,every window has footpath right next to it for people using the other cottages. A shortage of kitchen equipment ( saucepans, no slotted cooking spoon, showers very poor, insufficient pressure and water cutting out. Thankfully the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and I’m sure the above can easily be remedied . Thank you."
