The property was nice upon initial arrival. We walked the property and immediately noticed a few things that could be improved but nothing to complain about (grass wasn’t cut and some of the trim around the pool was loose). As time went on we started to notice other things like shower in primary bathroom was only a trickle, one shower door was missing, and noticed the frame of the bed had a dip in it. We were concerned but didn’t see the point in complaining as it was only a two day stay. Then we started noticing there were small roaches. That same day, the property owner started communicating that she had been checking the security cameras and we had too many people on the property and she would either charge per person or cancel our reservation & get authorities involved. We tried to explain that these were all minors who visited for the day, she argued with me stating they were not minors! After some back and forth and an apology for any misunderstanding, she agreed not to charge us and we thought the matter was dropped. I’ve rented a few properties on Vrbo and hate to leave bad reviews as I understand the nature of the business however I draw the line when the owner later advised she would be charging me for the replacement of the king sized bed, stating I had to have had children jumping in the bed or something. I wish things would have ended on a more positive note as this could jeopardize business.
