"Location is perfect. We parked on Friday and did not touch the car until Sunday. Reeves Theater is awesome venue for music. Also caught a band at Railyard Beer Garden. Walk to Angry troll, also a fun spot, is short. Many trails and the Elkin Vine Line for wineries is top notch. Property lacks a working elevator but otherwise is very clean and effcient. Rooftop is also a extra nice touch. "

"We lucked into this hidden gem. It was absolutely wonderful and clean. We got the pleasure of meeting Brenda who was very nice to work with. Unfortunately we did not get to meet Rusty. It was so nice sitting on the deck drinking our coffee in the mornings. Everything you could possibly need is there we hope to visit again maybe in the summer time. Oh and the bed was extremely comfortable. Thank you Brenda and Rusty for opening your place. "

"Rented this property to use as a “home base” while visiting with relatives in the area. We enjoyed using the theater room to relax after each day of socializing. It met all of our needs. The only bummer was that guests do not have access to the community pool. Other than that, it was as advertised."

"You are staying in room with a separate entrance in a home with a lovely family in the home above. In the country with lots of green pasture and big lots but downtown Hickory is only about 20 minutes away. A big room with pleasing decor. A patio of your own that overlooks a beautiful yard. "Great stay, especially for the price point! You can’t get a hotel at this price/condition. Upon arrival, we were struck by the rental’s spaciousness and cleanliness!! It had everything we needed and the host was communicative. As host indicated in listing, the neighborhood setting is rural. However, it’s close to major roadways and we were pleased with location to downtown Hickory, South Mountain, etc."

"Overall pretty good. Good location for our needs and reasonable price. Kept getting emails : "has replied to your message". But I didn't send a message(s). Then on the day before checkout I sent a message asking to extend my stay by a day. Never got a reply. I have come to the conclusion that VBRO is not for every occasion or for everyone. Hotels still serve the purpose if there is any uncertainty on the length of the stay or if the need arises to get in touch with a manager."

"We had an awesome experience at Three Trails units 1 & 4 this past week-end. The interior is very clean and convenient for everything in the downtown Elkin area. Although we did not use it, the kitchen was well stocked for a cozy dinner at home. Comfy beds too! Great memory for our family!"

"This stay was perfect. The views were amazing. The property provided everything one could think of. We’ve never stayed somewhere that we didn’t have to bring trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, and dish soap. They even provided hygiene products, towels and sheets, coffee, creamer, sugar, paper plates, napkins and utensils. When I say everything, I mean everything. We highly recommend this rental and plan to go again as soon as we can. "
