"The Chalet was exactly what we needed for our large family to feel cozy and rejuvenated. The layout of the home allowed everyone to spread out for privacy and personal space, while also allowing ample space in the common areas for gathering together for fellowship and group activities. The setting of the home in the hills and farmlands is just stunningly picturesque, complete with wildlife and gorgeous vistas. The fire pit area was a hit for making s’mores and sharing stories. "The unit worked out well. It was very clean and functional. The fireplace and deck were pleasant. We did not cook. The only problem was the second bedroom was up a narrow staircase. All three of us are elderly and couldn't negotiate the stairs. So the lone person slept on the couch."

"Overall most of our needs were met as a group. Sleeping spaces for enough people to sleep at least 6 comfortably & then some extra pullout/futon couches available. However a few issues we came across were - the cleanliness upon arrival specifically the presence of dead or live flies at almost every window. Upstairs bedroom the flies were making noise all night at least the first night of our stay. - the water must be well water because it smelled like sulfur every time someone ran the sink...

"There was 9 of us from five states that got together for 4 days. We mainly stayed at the house with one day taking in the village. Made memories. Negative thoughts were safety and cleanliness. The bottom half of house was not really that clean. Previous guests must have had food fight as there was cheese stuck to the ceiling and pull out couch had crumbs galore in the cushions. Should have at least one flashlight for power outages and more garbage bags and paper towels. Bathroom handle down...

"The property was exactly as described. The owner was excellent with communication. Everything we needed was at the house and it was a very quick walk to downtown. We are hoping to come back and stay again. Highly recommend this property if you are visiting Ellicottville."

"The house was absolutely perfect for our trip! The house had all kinds of fun stuff to use including the hot tub which was amazing after walking all day at the fall festival. We would definitely come back. "

"We love staying here because it is scenic, quiet, comfortable, and in the most perfect location. Easy to town. Easy to summer hiking trails (and winter ski trails). Just easy. The beds are all comfortable. Having two bathrooms is a bonus. And the kitchen is well supplied with coffee makers, a plug-in hot water pot, great knives, and plenty of dishes, mugs, and glassware. The host responds quickly to messages. Highly recommended!"

"Great place for ski season. Would have been helpful if we knew the house did not have AC. We also saw a mouse in the kitchen you may want to get that taken care of."

"We loved this property….it was exceptionally clean and well equipped. The lower level is like its own suite with outdoor access. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms were supplied with paper goods and soap. Really well done…very bright and new! "

"We’ve stayed here many times as we love the walkable location. Have always overlooked the fact that it is very basic, but now it’s time to update! Had trouble turning the shower on & the handle came right off! The TV was horrible, nothing in the room matches (rug, comforters, walls), there was food in our garbage when we got there .. all fixable things that would make it more pleasant if addressed "
