"Black Bear Lodge is the perfect place to lay your head at night after a long day of hiking and outdoor adventures! The host was very kind as she provided light breakfast each morning (fruit, tea, coffee, muffins, croissants, bottled water), and checked in with us to make sure our stay was going well. "Eight of us stayed over a three day weekend. Great place! Lovely area and we had nice weather! Most of us stayed at the house the whole time except for a trip out for lunch one day. Lots of eating, discussion, ad game playing. But some went out for a bit of hiking and bicycling."

"Can't recommend this retreat enough! Check in was as easy as showing up. From there, we were greeted by the cutest and cleanest cabin loft. The amenities were awesome - it was 1 room but with several seating areas, a well stocked kitchen, and the comfiest bed! Karen, our host, was the absolute loveliest. She was very available and amenable if we needed anything (even supplying us with firewood, smores, and blankets for a campfire!) but also allowed us our privacy for a romantic weekend getaway....
