"The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. "This is an amazing place!! I have travelled around Japan for a few weeks and this was definitely one of the best places i stayed for several reasons: 1st- the staff is incredible!! And I mean not just the usual JP politeness , here they were really friendly, supportive and interested - giving a lot of recommendations and showing interest 2nd - they have a great chef that makes each dinner and breakfast a delightful adventure through local cousine 3rd - the beds are super confortable and warm and evertyhing is super clean 4th - location is beautiful and super easy of you come by car or bus - it's very close to snow monkey park, kusatsu and the ski station ( they even have a training simulator!!) It's just a great value for money. If I ever come to Japan again I will for sure stay here again and I recommend everyone to do the same."
