"Such a peaceful and lovely break, loved the wood burning stove, the shower was delightful, despite not such good weather we managed to enjoy the lovely secluded garden, even if we nearly turned ourselves into soup in the Dutch tub, think we were a bit enthusiastic with the fire!We had everything we wanted, loved the selection of games and books and only wished we’d booked for longer! "Had a lovely weekend staying at Birnie Cottage. Aileen was great at giving information prior to our arrival and gave us a lovely welcome with scones, butter and jam. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and we were lucky enough to be able to sit out 2 evenings enjoying the sun and the garden. The cottage is in a peaceful location and had the benefit of woods behind it that we could walk our dogs. Although the garden is enclosed it isn't...

"Lovely cottage with a beautiful garden, spotless and well-equipped. We received a warm welcome with a basket with bread, butter, milk, fruit and delicious home-made jam! Parking the car can be a bit of a challenge for the driver who is used to a steeringwheel on the other side ;-) Perfectly situated to explore both Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as the Highlands. This was our first visit and we would really like to come back sometime. "
