"The hotel had a lovely atmosphere with well chosen antique furniture. Staff were both helpful, polite and efficient. Happy to help with a last minute change of booking and also room change to allow us a quieter room on our last night. Breakfast was very good with a great range of cereals and fruit. The homemade fruit yoghurt was a nice surprise Locally sourced food was evident in the cooked breakfast. This is a great hotel handily located close to restaurants and shops."

"Really lovely B & B just a few minutes walk into the centre which had plenty of independent shops, cafes and restaurants It’s also near the Orrest Head walk with spectacular views. We ate at Tapios one night for delicious tapas and highly recommended them. Our second night we ate at The Pig ( name changed to Tilly’s ) and had their Cajun chicken burger… yummy! We opted for a full English breakfast which was not the biggest one I’ve had but cooked fresh and nicely presented and the option of...

"Great location for Ambleside and the Lakes in general (you can get buses, to other Lake District towns, from Ambleside so can park up and leave the car at hotel). Really friendly helpful staff. Definitely would stay again if in area. "

"Lovely hotel near the centre of Keswick and not too far from the lake. We booked a lake view, the room was comfortable and warm. The room comes with a good breakfast to start your day. Parking is a bonus, we had to pay for this as we had not booked direct with the hotel. You can park for free out the front of the hotel if you are lucky to get a space. Staff are polite and friendly. Great weekend, thank you. "

"A lovely place in a beautiful area, ideally situated for a number of walks. The hotel is really nice and the room was large and well appointed. Steph and her team are second to none and she is super helpful and nothing ever seems too much trouble. I would highly recommend this pub to stay, we’re sad to leave. "
