"Room was a bit smaller than expected with kitchenette, no AC so very hot at night. Mattress was a bit mushy and roof over patio leaked onto the table when it rained. Not much privacy since you can hear all neighbors. Very picturesque but probably wouldn’t stay there again. "

"This locale was a welcome change from all the action in Kona. Out of the way but within a long half hour drive to Volcano National Park. Nearby town has twice weekly market and great Bakery. Be aware that the condos are the only remains of a golf resort. No AC in units but plenty of fans and the ocean breeze cools things off at night. Nice pool and hot tub with a view of ocean and two nice barbeque grills. A few minutes walk to famous black sand beach with turtles. Best visited in early morning...

"Unit had everything we needed. No air conditioning but lots of fans, still was too warm for us. It is very close to the pool with nice ocean views and sounds of the waves crashing. Pool was nice, not sure how often it was cleaned, the hot tub was nice but not filtered enough as it did have a heavy sunscreen film. No umbrellas available at the pool if you want shade. "

Make sure you do ALL grocery shopping elsewhere though, a loaf of bread, package of sliced deli meat and a bag of chips came to over $35 at the small market in town. "

"Quiet neighborhood with a rainforest like atmosphere. Covered outside area to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning and libations in the evening after a grand hike around the rim. The beds were soft. The gas fireplace was awesome on a rainy evening after dinner. This place was perfect for our stay and we would love to stay here again given the opportunity. "

"Beautiful view from our yurt, but it was not clear in the listing that the yurt had no running water or bathroom IN the yurt. We had a separate private bathroom a short distance from the yurt with 2 toilets, one being an incinerator type (A little complicated, but doable), a shower, and a sink. All dishes had to be taken from the yurt to the bathroom sink to wash them. There was bottled water in the yurt for drinking. Good refrigerator. "It was perfect for our state. Very clean kind of treehouse vibes in the middle of the fern forest the price was extremely reasonable. Location is very secluded in the middle of the forest gravel road going in very dark if you come in late but very safe location we stayed in number five had a perfect shower table microwave small fridge upstairs had a bed and a restroom, I would recommend If you like to save the environment and stay away from lots of touristy types of properties. "Loved this beautiful, handcrafted home tucked into an amazing rainforest. Loads of space for 4 adults and 2 children. Sitting outside listening to the night sounds of the rainforest was unforgettable. This house has lots of interesting artwork—so I will say that if you have an inquisitive 4-year-old in your group, you will have to keep vigilant watch!! Getting to the national park and Hilo was easy. "
