"The house was well suited for a group. We loved having the dock on Portage Lake. You have to cross the street to get to the dock, but it’s just a stone throw away. "

"As others have reviewed, property is dated. We did find things that need maintenance. Some of the windows didn't open. The pocket door into the kitchen was very hard to close. As we had a little one, we were trying to keep him out of the kitchen, so this was an ongoing challenge. My son sat in one of the plastic Adirondack chairs on the deck only to find one of the arms was broken and duct taped. "This was a very nice house to stay in with our group. It does not have air conditioning, but we did not need it during our stay. The deck and patio was where we wanted to spend all our time. It is a small town with a small town feel. The owner made communication very easy and we enjoyed our stay."

Walk across the road to your private boat dock, walk into town for breakfast or boutique shopping, and don't miss my personal favorite restaurant in all of Michigan, The Glenwood.
