"We took a long weekend for our family to spend some time together before my granddaughter goes off to college in a few weeks. This was a perfect place we loved the quietness of the farm. We had family breakfast and dinner around the big dining room table. Walked back to the pond and the granddaughters did some fishing. The sunsets were beautiful Lisa was a great host. We said we would stay again."

"This 300 acre farm house with 2 ponds is absolutely beautiful. The property owner Doug made check in and check out a breeze. He even had milk, eggs, butter, coffee, and muffins ready for our stay. Communication was prompt when we had questions. "My family enjoyed our brief Star at the Hartford Cottage in Burghill. Due to the weather, we did not have the chance to enjoy the yard & outside amenities/games but did enjoy the many amenities inside. The kids bedroom was a hit with both of our girls. We loved all the character & beautiful details throughout the home. The host was wonderful, touching base with us before our trip as well as ensuring we had accurate check-in information upon arrival. "

"Amazing place to stay. Cleanly, ample space, and great amenities. The water does run cold FYI if you’re planning on showering, but it’s not too bad. This place was really nice—I had a group of 6 and we felt that there was so much room. The property cat, Mr. Simmons, stole our hearts. We recommend!"

"Wonderful place for a big get together. There were 14 of us from ages 5-73 - three generations spending a few days for a short vacation. The pool kept us (especially the kids) more than occupied. We spent plenty of time up in the sports barn, too. Then, we had the big game room, playing pool and watching movies. The space was very nicely appointed and extensive. With 14 of us, we still had a bedroom left over. We did get out and do some of the classic Hocking Hills type things (hiking, etc.),...

The only recommendation i would have would be to allow the A/C to stay blowing cool air throughout the night. Several people complained about how hot it got in the middle of the night. "Ruby’s Farmhouse was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do in the Hocking hills area. The Columbus Zoo was only about an hour away and all of the hiking trails 20 minutes or less. Wal-Mart and lots of food places within 5 minutes but the farmhouse itself is in a rural setting and it very peaceful. The game room was fantastic for a family with 4 late teen/ young adult children.
