"We had a lovely one night stay, we got there earlier than anticipated and were allowed to check in early. Great start! Then we received a complementary upgrade to a 4 poster bed room with a balcony which was gorgeous! The lady who checked us in was super friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. "Spent a pleasant night with my wife at The Talbot Hotel and we were well looked after by Craig and his colleagues. The hotel dates back to the 1600s and is very atmospheric and full of history. Although no evening meal was available the full English breakfast in the morning was excellent. Would stay again."

"Really nice pub, convenient for Ludlow and the Shropshire Hills. Winter weekend break for us, nice big clean quiet room, comfy bed, plenty of space and large bathroom. All the staff very friendly and efficient, had a nice meal there - steak well cooked - and the breakfast was tasty, good quality ingredients and served quickly and with a smile. The bar area was nice, log fire burning and lots of locals in there. One negative was the water temp in the shower - I imagine as it’s an old...

"Great traditional pub in a suburban area ( visit to relative) wonderful publican and staff. Parking was very tight. Stayed in the room frequented by British rock stars Robert Plant and Christie McVie, which was a nice. Despite being next to rail station we heard nothing. Fabulous’full English’ breakfast - try it !! No elevator - quite a number of stairs. "

"I’ve stay at this hotel when it had the previous owners. Even know it’s in a middle of having a refurbishment the hotel was extremely clean and tidy, only one problem was the pillows being extremely thin. It was a really nice touch to have a kettle in the room but maybe have spoons instead of wooden sticks. But apart from that it’s all coming along nicely, i definitely prefer the key card instead of an actual key. Me and my partner will be back!"

"Lovely apartment clean and well layed out, but to have a microwave hob and oven I feel it should have pots and pans and cooking utensils. "Warm welcome with numerous offers of tea and biscuits. Lovely comfortable room with everything we needed, plus an array of books and magazines. Our breakfast was probably one of the best we've had at a b&b - choice, quality and presentation was excellent. We also had the best view onto the garden, watching wild birds feed, and farm animals stretching their legs and voices! The host gave us fabulous recommendations for our evening meal which did not disappoint."
