"One of the best for what I needed."

"We stayed here to be close to Grayson Highlands State Park and New River to go see the wild ponies and go birding. There were many birds on the property including hummingbirds. Thank you for having the feeder up! We also saw a baby bunny under the shrubs, baby deer, chipmunk, and groundhog on the gravel entrance road. The property was all as described. The only sounds were the birdsong and the creek. :)"

We’d love the area, and the house is easily located to get around to all of the local cities. The host is very responsive, and we love what they’ve done to the hot tub and pergola area. "We brought our 16 year old grandson to introduce him to the Va Creeper. The unit is part of a big house, but it was very spacious and private for us. It has a screened-in back porch which was wonderful for bringing our bikes in for security; it was a great place to relax in the evening - we could hear the river which was about a block away. "The place is fantastic. Great location, right on the creeper and a 10 min walk to adventure damascus to rent bikes. Very quiet and cozy hang out for us to enjoy a short weekend getaway. Host is very responsive. We would definitely rent again!"

"It is a very convenient location. Across the street is the Grocery store with gasoline and the pizza/sandwich shop. Later, we did walk 250 yards to the brewery. Small parking area for a large p/u truck. Biggest drawback is that it is only 15 feet from the main road going through Damascus, which tends to be busy and noisy. And no front or back usable porch.."
