"My husband and I decided to stay at this hotel because of the price. We needed an affordable option near Duluth for our Anniversary for 2 nights. Everything was amazing!!! The front desk staff (Mary) and all the others are genuinely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. Nothing broken. No paint chipping. "Quick stay, wasn’t needing much the room was very clean and updated. Did not expect toiletries and planned for that the only small concern was that bathroom had a musty smell but it is a serious steal for being a budget option that felt safe and clean "

"The hotel is nice, but could use a little updates. The staff at check in and check out were very nice. We used the pool/hot tub area. Very nice however the pool could be a little warmer. In the morning we ate the at the breakfast bar, which was nicely stocked. The only problem we had in the room was in the bathroom. I don’t complain about many things when it comes to the sleeping rooms, but when you have a round toilet seat on an Elongated toilet bowl is bad. I mean you can spend $12 to fix it. "

"This is an older motel. It is clean and kept up. The staff are accommodating. It is winter right now, the room is toasty warm and the bed is comfortable. Restaurants nearby. I will continue to stay here when traveling."

"Came for a business meeting and needed no frills, so picked the cheapest place I could find. When they handed me a brass key and not a magnetic card, I was a bit worried. Don't let the older style of this building fool you. This had the feel of a 1970s motel but was really clean and comfortable. The room had the 'Northern Woods' decor seen in a lot of places in Hayward, so it was cozy and woodsy. Pretty view of the river and super close to everything. Pleasantly surprised."
