"really comfortable stay - the cottage is cosy but has high ceilings so no banged heads and it doesn't feel cramped. beds really comfy. fantastic location - amazing walks from outside the front door. lovely pub in the village down the hill. and the owners run the tea room next door so left us a lovely plate of cakes on arrival! "

"The property was beautiful, with everything we needed. And the pool was amazing! We all enjoyed swimming and chilling in the hot tub. We were able to walk straight up Thorpe cloud and into Dove dale, and look forward to being able to visit again to explore further. Many thanks to hosts, Ray and Julie, who were friendly and helpful. "It was comfortable, quiet and conveniently located for exploring the area. Comfortable beds, everything one needed in the kitchen, big bathroom and large dining/sitting room. Wasn't keen on open plan bedrooms upstairs, where one could see and hear everything that was said and done in the other bedroom."

"A lovely spot in a countryside location. The cottage, on a working farm, was very clean and comfortable and offered everything needed for a short break. The location, to the side of the A54, was not without some traffic noise, but this was more than made up for by the ease of access to nearby market towns, the Peak District and Manchester itself. Farmhouse Cottage is somewhere we'd stay again."

"We have just returned from the most wonderful weekend at Cheshire Barns. The cottages are absolutely stunning and are so cosy and inviting. They have absolutely every amenity we could have wished for as a family staying with young children . The bonus of a gorgeous hot tub and tennis courts was fantastic. Location wise it’s such easy access to fantastic spots to walk and explore including Tatton park and Delamere forest. Our host was so incredibly kind too as we had to make last minute plans to...

"We booked the cottage for a week's stay whike work was being done on our home. It was a real home from home too. Everything's there, including electric blankets to warm the beds. Although thd heating kept the cottage toasty, we turned most off except living room and bathroom. Loved the log burner too, a real focal point. Internet provided was good, a bonus as the phone signal there is poor, as is most of the local area due to hills etc. Would certainly recommend."

"We were a party of 5 adults and one child. The cottage is spacious and well furnished. The setting is idyllic with fabulous scenery all round. The owners, who live next door, are very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this cottage!"

"I live near Southampton and run a company based near Stoke and this is my favourite perch; the kitchen lets me eat normally as I tend to keep strange hours. Just right size and facilities for me. Could just as well be a perch for a countryside break. Highly recommended "
