this is our second time staying at the hotel, however this time we were a little disappointed in certain aspects. Firstly, the positives were the rooms are very spacious which accommodated me my partner and our child nicely. The spa is lovely and clean also. we were here for our anniversary, so we were really excited for the weekend.
Now to the unfortunate negatives, the lack of communication.. we had our baby with us so the swimming times were till 7:30pm.
However, we got there at 6:30 only to see a sign “swimming for children now closed at 6:30 due to lifeguard been ill” we understand these things happen but we didn’t get told once prior so we planned our whole day around going from 6:30 - 7:30 only to let our son down who was really excited to go swim. We did try and call up from our room several times but it just remained on hold, we tried 4 more times and still no answer.
Also, something we were disappointed with was the staff during our time in the pulse bar, we totally respect the shutting time of 10pm & the staff were polite enough.. what we didn’t like was me and my partner were still having our drinks at 9:20pm and the staff started to clean around us and packing everything up, it felt like a “go away” scenario to be honest. Every customer is just as important even if it was just us left in the pulse bar, we paid our money to enjoy a nice night not have to return to our room so early. 10pm is already pretty early but to feel rushed at 9:20 is a bit ridiculous.
