"The house was an older cute home. Very comfortable and inviting. The owner Tony was very easy to talk with and a great communicator. The kitchen is lovely and had plenty of things for your need. We really enjoyed our stay! 😊"

"Great Highland Lakes Cottage! Clean & well stocked kitchen. Be careful going up or down Breakneck Rd. Thus time of year every view is beautiful! We did lots of small road trips taking in the sites and autumnal views!!"

"The view was so good I never turned the TV on once during my stay! I was in town for a wedding and having such a clean, comfy, convenient, and well-apportioned accommodation only added to the joy of the occasion. This is an add-on to the host's residence and it was a comfort to know they were nearby while I was able to enjoy my complete privacy. "

"We needed a place to stay while visiting family in north jersey. This house was perfect - beautiful views, fairly close and clean. Now that we know it is here, we will stay again, God willing. "

First, the house is located beside a busy road where traffic is moving all hours of the day and night at 35-55 mph. For some, this isn't a big deal. For others, it's not as quiet as described. "We loved staying here. It’s very clean. It’s right at the base of the slopes! Loved being able to cook breakfast there. The heated outdooor pool was a great unique experience in the winter! The checkin and out process was well explained and simple. It is small though. It felt tight for our family if 3. I couldn’t imagine a group larger than that. Absolutely recommend for your small group. "

"The actual room was excellent, compfy bed. Shower door was hard to open. No handle on the outside. Loud cars going through the neighborhood and my room was up 3 flights of stairs. "

"Beautiful property, with cozy linens in every room, incredibly well maintained property, and lovely views. The welcome book had clear instructions, there were great lawn games, lots of suggestions to eat too. The icing on the cake was the welcome basket, complete with Halloween treat bag for our little one! "

"The house is beautiful and very clean. Fun game room. Excellent view of the lake. Many sitting areas to enjoy. They provide games and books as well. The owner Neil answered all our questions promptly. Local food leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely AVOID Sussex Sit n Chat diner and avoid Silvio’s Villa (food was severely overpriced and tasted like prison cafeteria food. ) "

"Our family went to the Hudson Valley area for a wedding. Pre stay communication with Malka was excellent and we all had a wonderful time. Lots of room for the kids to play and be entertained downstairs as well as upstairs in the Projection Room. The backyard was a great soccer area and the fire pit was great to sit around at night. Firewood on site was a real plus! I do recommend to anyone doing substantial cooking for many people to bring their own favorite pots and pans if possible though...

"We booked a weekend away to celebrate family birthdays and were very happy to celebrate in such a special place. There was plenty of room for 11 of us (+ dog) and was a mix of modern touches and old world charm highlighting the legacy of the house. And the view of the Hudson was a highlight of our stay. "Rather dated motel. Reasonably quiet considering its in the shadow of busy route 287. Has a fridge and microwave. Beds were ok. Breakfast had good variety with pancakes yogurt bacon and eggs etc. It is what it is. Nothing special but good for a night's sleep. "
