Serene Quiet Getaway
My wife and I came to stay for a quiet getaway on the frozen bay, and it turned out to be just perfect for that. We read books and ate pizza from The Log Cabin and watched early 2000s movie dvds on the TV upstairs. The two electric fireplaces inside were running on full the whole time we were out there, but they managed to stave off the cold! We got to watch droves of ice fishers going out in the morning and cruising back in after sunset, from the warmth of this little lighthouse.The owners of the rental are very responsive, and have printed out a little overview of the history of this cute mini cabin alongside their contact info. The driveway back does have a couple "do not enter" signs, but it makes sense since the road is attached to a local campground! Also dont be shocked if a horde of barn cats approach your car on the drive back; apparently they were expecting a toll. XDNote: Accessing the bedroom requires climbing some rather steep, ladder-like stairs. My wife is afraid of heights and had a bit of a tough time with these, but she was able to pull through :)

One night adventure
The surroundings were beautiful! The cabin is beyond cute and cozy and the binoculars made it possible to see a few eagles in the morning. I was really surprised we got to see them because of the wind. It’s the perfect unique get away with a very comfy bed. We look forward to going back during warmer weather.

Idyllic
So fun to drive up in the dark and see this beautiful lighthouse twinkling through the night. The fireplaces keep everything warm and cozy and we got such a fun surprise when the eagles came out in the morning! We loved the 12pm check out time and the chance to be together in such an idyllic location. We will definitely be back!

Great Escape
This location is very cool, surrounded on the Lake on 3 sides. The hosts were very accommodating making sure it was warmed up before we arrived. It's a small place, but it's on of the best VRBO experiences we have had. We would strongly recommend.

Amazing host and property!!! Tracy was easy to get ahold of and mades the place feel like home. My only complaint would be only 3 gallons of hot water however, the place is small (as described) so shouldve expected that. Will definitely be going back in a few years. Can not describe how beautiful it was!!

Lifelong friends escape
I wanted to find a place on the water that was quiet and peaceful for my friend who had lost her mom and needed some peace and quiet! This was the perfect place! Summer would be so nice here to enjoy sitting outside, enjoying a fire and relaxing on the upper level of the lighthouse but with the electric fireplaces on both levels we stayed warm and cozy. We also enjoyed watching the Eagles in the morning too

Lovely night away!
Overall had a wonderful time staying on Tracy’s property. It was such a cute space and the view at sunset was gorgeous. Tracy was so responsive and attentive as well. The only minor thing to note is that the listing mentions a kitchen, but there is no stovetop, just an outside grill and microwave. We were planning on cooking and brought groceries so that was a bit disappointing, but just something to prepare for! Really appreciated the space heaters on both the bottom and top floors!!

Unique stay
We booked this stay for the opportunity to try something new. The location was close enough to town but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet in the area. Our bonfire while watching the sunset and getting to see the bald eagle and some deer right outside our window was the e highlight of the stay.

Lovely, Unique escape!
What a piece of paradise to experience in such a unique setting. We were blessed with beautiful weather and soaked in the peaceful setting. There was plenty of firewood to enjoy a fire as we watched the sky change with the sunset! Our host was very responsive...even went to get us a space heater, for the downstairs, as the temps were dropping. Getting to the bedroom was a challenge for us mid-60 yr. olds but well worth the view and comfy bed! It was a very memorable way to spend our 42nd anniversary! Thank you for sharing your space!

This is the best place to go to kick back and unwind. The views are beautiful, the bed is comfy, and it's such a quaint place. We spent our evening with the windows open and it was like sleeping outside. We'll be back for sure!

Weekend Escape
Place was as advertised and a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city and suburbs. It was a beautiful clear night, which made the sunset and stars pop. The sounds of the bay and wind were soothing. The property was well kept and the owner provided amenities and firewood. She provided a binder full of info, directions, contacts, and history. Don’t forget to sign the memoir in the bedroom. Got some good tips, on local places and things to do, in reading other travelers’ stories. The owner and family seemed kind and welcoming. They were respectful of our privacy, but close that if there were any issues I know we would be in good hands. Will definitely go back if in the Bay City area.

Unique Experience
This is truly a unique place to stay. You feel as though you are on a remote island in Maine. The views are incredible and the Egrets are fun to watch. The lighthouse cabin is unique but understand that it is VERY small. If you are looking for a VRBO that will allow you to kick back in a chair and/or a hot bath (there is only a 3 gallon hot water heater for a quick shower), this would not be your ideal destination. If you experience unfortunate weather during your stay (as we did) and need to stay indoors, you are very limited in what you can do. Also, cooking options are limited as there is no stove/oven and the fridge is a dorm fridge. There is a grill outside but once again, if you experience bad weather, that won’t be an option for you. If you don’t mind these limitations - then you will enjoy this uniquely wonderful VRBO!

Quick day getaway-AMAZING!!!
Just a quick 1 day getaway for me and the wife had an absolutely amazing time!!! The “house” is beautiful, it was exactly what we wanted secluded waterfront property to spend the day relaxing and just checking out for everyday life!!! Wonderful, private Bird Sanctuary
Cute tiny house with about everything you need. The view and bird life is all around you. Very peaceful and relaxing place. The steps to the upstairs could be a problem for those afraid of heights or older folks. For us it added to the vibe. Enjoyed it very much!
