"This is exactly the type of property we were hoping for when we booked it. It is located in a very quiet country setting on the river front, but is still only about a fifteen minute drive to the downtown historic district of Nachitoches. "The house was clean and had all the amenities listed. The beds are comfortable and we all slept well. The house is uniquely decorated which made our stay even more lovely. "I specifically ask if I could go fishing. Was told 3 times yes. Got there and you couldn’t for the water grass and weeds. The boat house was being renovated, so they offered to put me in Yhe Pelican house. It was a tiny home, with a short small loft for a bedroom which had a ladder to access the bed. I couldn’t climb the ladder. I tried to rest on the futon. It was to hard. No Tv, games, not even a radio, no cell service. The place was clean as was the land scape. They refunded my cost. "Every year the ladies in our family pick a weekend in December to travel somewhere and see Christmas lights. This year we went to Natchitoches, LA for their Christmas Lights Festival. We stayed at A&A Lakehouse and we so happy we did! The location was perfect (close to downtown), clean, plenty of room for the seven of us and the host was so nice and very responsive. We plan on coming back for the 100 anniversary of the Christmas Festival and will MOST definitely try to book this property...

The floor needs a real good scrubbing, walls need to be bleached and entire shower needs Zeps mold and mildew remover. The cleanliness of the A/C units is non existent. There is also a vent in the master bedroom hanging from the wall. Other than this things, we loved the room😁"
