"This guest cottage is roomy and beautiful. The location could not have been much nicer - the beaches are easily accessible, you are right on the PCH and can easily travel the length of the Malibu community in 15 or 20 minutes, and a grocery store and restaurants are nearby. There is plenty of comfortable furniture, and the use of the private hot tub and pool on the premise was greatly appreciated. The garden/landscaping is fantastic. We saw many hummingbirds each day. Definitely a great value."

"This spacious and well-thought-out floor plan enhances the magnificent view and has so many amenities we can't list them all built-in. The highlight was the microwave-in-a-drawer. Very quiet while we were there. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. We hope to be able to come back!"

"Overall, we loved this property. Proximity to Santa Monica pier was great. Was in town for a game at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. This property is a bit of a haul from Pasadena, but well worth it. "We follow the policy of the house. But the old woman next door is a Karen. She acts like she own the place. Taking pictures of our cars even tho we are allowed to park at the drive way. We have to go through the garage per request by the property manager. But we have to go out in the side so that we can have access to the beach. The old woman was taking pictures and video of us! "Malibu Grotto is right on the water, and right on Pacific Coast Highway. It can be a bit noisy - either from the traffic from the street or the waves crashing on the rocks. "Surfrider is a quaint, boutique hotel in beautiful Malibu. We stayed here while visiting Pepperdine University nearby and had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the beach house vibe was exactly as advertised. My only feedback to keep in mind for future guests is that it is not quiet (PCH is very noisy) and it is VERY difficult to get a ride-share (Uber or Lyft). If you have to get somewhere on time, just take into account that an Uber may take a long time...
