"The room had been upgraded. Wonderful beds. The hall carpet was new and the walls painted recently. Beautiful First Nations art on display. Everything was clean. Food and service in the dining room were very good. Great view from the dining room. Since our last stay in August the golf course has taken a beating. The greens were brown and hard. Some of the bunkers were damaged and hadn't been repaired this late in the season."

"Owner's were terrific. There was a lot of junk, old cars, tvs, etc. laying around. Saturday night was really noisy with some party going on at one of the cottages...made it difficult to sleep. While the cottage was old, it was clean. The towels and dishes could use an uodate...but we can't complain. Other than the racket on Saturday night, we enjoyed our stay."

"Well equipped trailer with a beautiful view. We did on the whole enjoy staying at the property. It is quite a remote property which was a little nerve wracking at first as our signal was limited but the setting is worth it. Only about 20 mins to St Peters. Our main feedback was just around the compost toilet, whilst eco efficient, it does have a smell and this smell progressively got worse with more use. "L'Ardoise is a beautiful seaside community. We stayed in this house 5 years ago and enjoyed it very much. Last month we returned for a second time to enjoy the privacy, quiet and the amazing views from the deck and the upstairs windows. The house is spacious, well equipped and very easy to find. The property manager is friendly, nearby and easy to reach. We enjoyed our return stay."

"The property had an amazing view. It had both indoor and outdoor furniture to make it relaxing. The only problem was how hot it was inside with no air conditioning. The big windows allow for a great view but also let in full sun during the whole day. Open windows and fans helped but only in the evenings. and no air conditioning"

"We arrived at our destination, only to find a very extremely musty house. We could not stand the smell, even after opening all the windows. Our fault, but did not realize there was no television. Found a rusty rack in the freezer. No air conditioning upstairs where we would be sleeping. We would never recommend this property and suffered a huge loss financially."

"Ce fut un très beau séjour dans ce magnifique chalet. Très propre et les lits sont très confortable s. Par contre, pour aller visiter plusieurs endroits de la région, nous avons trouvé le trajet en voiture un peu long pour rejoindre la route principale surtout lorsque nous revenions en soirée! "

"The home was very clean and has beautiful views from every window. Especially the large front windows overlooking the lake. The deck is large and has plenty of room to enjoy meals and coffee in the morning with panoramic lake views and passing sail boats. "Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving."
