"A very pleasant stay in a beautiful area. A good location for walks in the south of the peak district, particularly up to Hen's Cloud and the Roaches, Gradbach Mill and Lud's Church, and a little further away Miller's Dale & Chee Dale gorge. Nice to have a welcoming couple of slices of homemade cake and a jug of fresh milk on arrival. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed. The mobile service (EE) is not the best from within the cottage through the solid stone walls...

"Booked to stay for 1 night after a trip to Alton Towers. It's a shame we didn't stay for longer as the kids absolutely loved it - particularly the garden which was packed with things for them to do, including a zip line. Would definitely recommend for families and groups of friends with kids."

Stunning views out of every window and 2 large secure paddocks that you can let your 4 legged friend enjoy with no fear of them getting out. "We frequently stay in holiday properties and so know what you can get for £140 / night and sadly this was not up to the standards we would expect. The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. It was not clean, the tiles in the bathroom were mouldy, under the furniture were dead woodlouse and other remnants of insects, cobwebs everywhere and the lavatory off the main bedroom was very poorly cleaned.
