Welcome to J Ferrara #9, your ideal retreat in the heart of Key West! Nestled on a quiet street in the artist-inspired condominium complex in Bahama Village, The Galleria has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s. It was once a popular spot for traveling artists who came to Key West for inspiration and showcased their work in the nearby art galleries on Duval Street. Our cozy studio offers a peaceful base for your fun, adventurous vacation. Just 10 blocks from the beach & a short 2.5 blocks from the famous Duval Street, our location provides easy access to the best of Key West. Whether you're returning from a day of sun & sand, a boat excursion, or a leisurely stroll down Duval Street, our studio is the perfect Old Town Key West stay! Our vacation rental is named after one of our dear and talented friends, James Ferrara of J Ferrara Gallery. Based in South Florida, James specializes in underwater photography. You will find several of his pieces throughout the room! Whether you seek relaxation, adventure, or a mix of both, J Ferrara #9 provides the perfect base for your Key West getaway.

Please be aware of the following essential policies for your stay at J Ferrara #9:

Age and Occupancy Requirements: Booking tenant must be 25 years of age or older and must occupy the property for the entire duration of the booking. Furthermore, this property is exclusively available as a vacation rental and is not available for worker housing.

No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited within the property to maintain a smoke-free environment for all guests.

No Pets: Pets are strictly prohibited within the property to maintain a pet-free environment for all guests.

Mandatory Mid-Stay Cleaning: A mandatory mid-stay cleaning is required for all bookings 30 nights and longer to uphold the quality and cleanliness of the property.

Sleeps Maximum of 2 Guests:

Bedroom: Queen Bed, Flat Screen TV

Kitchenette: Lightly Equipped (dorm size refrigerator/freezer, sink, microwave, coffee maker)

Small but serviceable.
The accommodation is quaint and bathroom is a challenge but room was very clean. Location is surrounded by local residences. Pool was very peaceful and felt great. Close to historic locations by easy walk.

Our Happy Place
We've now been to Key West 3 years in a row and stayed at The Galleria House the last 2 years. We love the area because it is close to everything we enjoy doing like hanging out at Ft. Zach and walking to Flamingo Crossing for an ice cream. It would be nice if the rooms were bigger, but for the amount of time spent inside it really doesn't bother us. Having the ability to wash and dry clothes makes lite travelers like us happy. The pool is a great spot to hangout in the evenings. We recommend this place to those fellow travelers just looking for a place to crash after exploring all day.

Perfect for a few nights in Key West!
The location was perfect!! We were able to walk or bike anywhere...very close to restaurants, Duvall St, Southernmost point. The condo is very small, as others have mentioned, but we didnt come to spend time in our room. I felt like there was enough room for 2 of us to sleep and get ready comfortably. I would stay here again!

Flop house
I have used Vbro for a while and I am no novice to housing on Key West. It was not clean and maintanance was an issue. Tile floor in the shower was very cracked. I walked in through the door looked around and very quickly backed out. I am very aware of black mold. I didn't even stay long enough to take pictures. I couldn't. If your group looking for a place to flop this is the place. I did call the number and Vbro really must start taking the absent owners and businesses that put up the offer. So I will be going back to the hotel game. Hey at least they have a view of the sunset.

Fit what we needed perfectly
So yes...it's small, but that fit perfectly for my wife & I. She's shorter than I am and loved the shower...I'm 6'1" but was able to make it work as well. It's got everything you need...bed, fridge, bathroom, fairly private pool...and it's Key West - not a place to hunker down in your room! The location is great for Duval & Whitehead, and bike rentals are nearby if you want to venture East. I would say my only suggestion is it may be time for a new mattress.

Clean, simple and as expected.
We had some difficulty with our check-in instructions which were resolved. Otherwise the property was as described, clean, small and adequate. We found parking easily and the pool was well kept and wonderful to swim in. The location is close to shopping, restaurants and the beach. I recommend this property if all you need is place to sleep and enjoy a dip in the pool.

Prefect location!
We had a great stay and the place was just right for the two of us. Didn’t feel cramped at all the tall ceilings and decor were perfect. The pool was nice too! Rented bikes and had no problem parking the car there. Felt safe thanks!

Tiny but Everything You Need
The space is small but it has everything you need (washer, dryer, frig, pool, etc). It’s an excellent location to bars, restaurants, beaches, and shopping. You can walk everywhere and there is a big community pool a block away if the on sight pool is too small. My best friend and I stayed comfortably cool at night in the prime of summer with the a/c.

Best bang for your buck
It’s small, but it has everything you need. Manage expectations. This is a cracker box. But if you plan on staying in your room in Key West other than to shower or sleep, this might not be the place for you. Who wants to stay in their room in Key West though?

Welcome to the Hood
When we first arrived to the property my wife and I were getting our luggage out of the car within the first 10 mins of being there an homeless lady was begging for money to help feed her “3 kids” so there was red flag number one, then we noticed within 200 feet there is a housing authority within sight of the property and then on the back side of the block there is about 12 housing authorities, so we were very concerned about our belongings. Once we got into our room it was small but we expected that. The Fridge was froze up so we with had to wait for it to thaw out which mean there would have been water all over the floor so I just broke all the ice out my self. The owner said maintenance would not be able to fix it till tomorrow btw. When you take a shower, the shower curtain wraps around you every time you move or you are leaning against the tile wall. The tinny A/C unit in the room is right above your head at the bed so of course it runs all day and night trying g to keep up you can see about half inch of light coming through the door cracks so that is where all the cool air is going to. And if you want to cool off you can go for a dip in the community shared swimming pool with all the other 18 units in the property the best part is the pool is a wonderful 97 degrees so almost like a hot tub but more like old bath water. If you want a humbling experience this is the place for you. We even talked to the locals they told us we are staying in the hood, hints the tile.

Couples mini vacation
When we arrived to the property we were very greatful for a cool temperature room and it was very clean. We rented scooters and had no problem parking them out front. We used the pool every night and loved how big and clean the pool was. Also we read the reviews and I was prepared for a tiny space, so I was so greatful when the room was bigger than I had anticipated. We had enough room to prop our suitcase open on the table provided and lay out other belongs around the sink in the room. The mini fridge helped us have stocked water and even ice cubes! There were a few hooks around the room to dry towels or bathing suits. There was a washer and dryer available for use down the hall and that was so nice to be able to run a load of clothes in. The downfalls were the shower, it was small which is an understatement. The shower curtain is either clinging to your body or you leave the curtain open and the whole bathroom gets wet. The bed didn't have any headboard and was pushed against the wall on one side. This room has enough space to keep the bed off the walls so we moved it away, but it looked like a teenagers dorm room with the flat pillows and dark blue sheets with half the bed on the wall. And the mattress was worn down and we woke with some back pain. It was the most inexpensive room so I would stay here again as I loved the pool, price, parking and had an amazing vacation.

Decent for 2 people
Although the shower was pretty cramped , it served the purpose. A couple of blocks from Duval Street , a few minutes from the Southernmost Point & a few minutes from Ft. Zachary. Unless you're going to stay in the room a lot , it's fine for 2 people. If you plan on staying in the room , just stay home.
