"And we're looking forward to our eighth. Everything about this log cabin on the river is right. Peter is a gracious host. The guy you'd want for a neighbor back home. The property is immaculate. The view from porch and patio is blissful. The neighborhood is quiet, but groceries, dining and sightseeing are nearby. Mostly, though, we just love to sit with the river in view, read and talk."

"We enjoyed our stay here very much. Loved how we could easily walk to Boothbay. Access to the kayaks was a huge plus too. If there was one bit of advice I could offer, it would be to reduce the amount of furniture in the cabin. I believe there were 15 chairs within."

"We had a lovely stay. Very comfortable king size bed with plenty of good pillows. Shower had wonderful pressure! Kitchen well equipped. Quiet and view over lake serene. Enjoyed the loon and bald eagle. Best for 2 people bunk room very small. Would recommend and come back ourselves, but longer stay. serene."

"We loved this cottage! It was so quaint and charming and perfect for our family. The fans and the screens in the windows were lifesavers as we hit some hot weather while staying here. We loved the location, as well as the view over the water. Absolutely wonderful and we would stay here again!"

"I had such an awesome time at this location. The cabin was so comfortable and cozy. I loved falling asleep and waking up to the view if the trees behind the cabin. I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Shaws is around the corner where I grabbed some groceries. I was surprised by how facinating the desert was. "It is a cute cabin but needs some serious maintenance. The entry slope would be improved by stepping stones along the very appropriate gravel path. It is a steep path and the stones can be slippery and awkward. The inside front door would benefit from a "wipe-your-feet" mat. The microwave, dishwasher and stove are nicely upgraded although we only used the microwave as we were just 2 and mostly ate out. There are 2 good heaters, one up and one down but they do not have fans so they do not heat...

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed, the beauty and functionality of Lola’s Lodge, a picture perfect log cabin. It’s perfectly located nestled in the pine trees of a 100 year old summer community, but a close walking distance to the quaint harbor-best of both worlds! Paul was a very responsive host and made the booking easy. I can only recommend as wonderful summer vacation home."

"Beautiful property. Saw seals from living room catching fish. Front door did not lock but it’s a safe neighborhood but a bit isolated. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Laundry facilities were a great help! Gorgeous views of the water and excellent service and communication."

"This house was amazing. It was way better than we expected after looking through the pictures online. The outdoor space and the house itself are beautiful and the pictures do it zero justice. We were worried at first about the lack of AC, but the house cooled right down once we opened the windows let the air in. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking to visit Boothbay. It was so close to the main area, but you couldn’t even tell- it felt like you were immersed in nature."
