Welcome to Camp Wind Rush on Historic Braddock Point. This lakefront, 120 year old original great camp, resides on the beautiful shores of Lake Ontario. The camp has been restored to its comfortable, rustic style and sits on beautiful property, maintained for casual like-side living. Lots of charm, quiet surroundings, and only steps from a 90 foot break wall with stairs leading into 1 ½ feet of water on the shoreline.
The location is perfect for fishing, swimming, kayaks, canoes, Jet skis, bird watching, hiking, biking, and a lot of relaxation. NOTE: Anyone swimming at the shoreline can be seen from the front porch.
BEDS & BATHS
The house has 3 bedrooms, a sleeping loft and plenty of space for extra family members or guests. There’s one large full bath on the second floor, a half bath on the main floor and a private outdoor shower. PLUS, in the back of the house, a 3-person 104 degree hot tub, perfect after a long day on the lake.
HUGE FRONT PORCH
A comfortably furnished porch runs the entire length of the front of the house with end to end windows that open to fresh air. Watch spectacular sun rises through an unobstructed NW view of the point. There’s no better place for a morning cup of coffee or a cozy glass of wine at the end of the day. For anyone who wants their own space to finish a book (or take a nap) there’s a quaint back porch with a view of the private gardens.
OPEN KITCHEN & FIRST FLOOR
The downstairs has a large open living area and dining space that flows to the Adirondack style kitchen. There you’ll find granite countertops, hickory floors, and a breakfast nook that leads to the front porch. The kitchen has all the appliances and tools you’ll need plus a microwave and pantry. The casual style fits the restored house perfectly.
BOATING
Within walking distance of the house is the bay where you’ll find Braddock Bay Marina with boat slips and dockage for Jet Skis as well as a double-wide concrete launch for a daily fee. The break wall at the house can easily accommodate kayaks and canoes.
HIKING AND BIKING
For those who like to hike and bike there are plenty of beautiful trails, some that can take you all the way to Hamlin Beach.
