"Perfect place for our first location in Sri Lanka. We stayed three nights and loved it. Very quiet and peaceful. The staff was very welcoming and the quality of the Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner was amazing. We can also recommend the Katamaran tour in the lagoon. Free shuttle to the empty beach also worked great. Would always return here."

"I can't imagine there being a better place in Galle. Peaceful. Quiet. Lovely owner. She was so nice to us, my wife was pregnant and even let us stay a bit longer whilst we waited for our taxi as she wasn't feeling well. What a lovely human being! We were welcomed with drinks and a hotel towel. Breakfast was amazing. Staff are really nice. Highly recommend."

"5 stars are not enough for this wonderful place. A special thank you to Chathuri and her team for the making us feel so welcome and at home. The property itself is beautiful - a colonial style villa set in lush tropical gardens, with a pool that wraps around the building, but it’s the people who work there that made it one of the most memorable stays ever. "We had an amazing time at Riff, nothing bad to say about the place. It was extremely comfortable with great service. A fab pool and direct access to the beach. The food was delicious in both the downstairs restaurant and the rooftop restaurant - especially the grilled seafood (lobster and prawns!) and the a la carte breakfast was fantastic. We loved having drinks on the rooftop at sunset every evening, with great views and live music. Felt very spoilt! "

"What a beautiful hotel! We stayed in an exquisite villa with the beach at right outside our doors. The enjoy the sunsets from our bed was truly spectacular. A lovely and welcoming staff who catered to our every need. The food was good - but I prefer the menu at their sister property, Kayaam House. But Ahu Bay has THE BEST coconut toffee! "Comfortable stay, we were welcomed by Wasantha who checked us in, with a delicious watermelon juice made by Charana. The room was spacious and clean. Loses a mark as on the final day we left our bags on reception where they insisted they would be safe and looked after while we went out for lunch. However we walked back in and got them without anyone checking. Slight security concern they need to look at as lovely place otherwise :)"

"Hotel is beautiful and very well located. Frustrating that they dont have any extra bed available, we would have paid for it. Any hotel should have an extra bed available. The restaurant of the hotel is good and the area doesnt have many options, however, for dinner all they had was a set menu with very restricted options. They offered us sandwiches, but only for room service, so we were required to leave the restaurant and eat in our room (still eating the food from the hotel, very very rude)....

"We really enjoyed staying at this lovely hotel. It has a really quiet and tranquil setting on a nice stretch of beach. There were a number of turtles in the sea just by the hotel.
