Summary:
Whether you're a thrill-seeker or prefer a leisurely pace, our coastal duplex cottage is conveniently located near a variety of sporting and seaside activities from kayaking, shelling, sun-bathing to fishing. Grab your board and surf the nearby waves or check out the local shops and attractions, there's something for everyone. Relax and unwind on our spacious decks overlooking the beach. This is the perfect spot for enjoying morning coffee, sunset cocktails, or simply basking in the sea breeze.

The Space:
Starfish & Flip-Flops is a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house located in the heart of Surfside, Texas on the Gulf Coast, known for it's sunny, clean and long stretches of beautiful beach. This practically brand new duplex home is conveniently located right by the adorable bridge/walkover - perfect for those spectacular sunset photo shoots!

Once parked in the driveway, you'll notice the breezy outdoor shaded grilling space with picnic table, seating and outdoor shower located under the home for rinsing off all the sand after a fun day in the sun and sand.

As you walk up the outside stairs to enter the front door, you will find a large open front deck with a gate at bottom and top of the stairs for children and pet safety. It has direct views of the Gulf accompanied by the soothing sound of waves crashing on the shore.

Entering the home you'll find the island mood set with some mermaid flare and seaside decor for a great vacation experience. The living room opens to the dining area and a complete working kitchen with a full-sized washer and dryer located under the stairs next to the half bathroom.

Upon heading upstairs, you'll be greeted by 3 spacious bedrooms, each outfitted with luxurious fresh white bedding. 

SLEEPING/BATH ARRANGEMENT: (sleeps 8 in beds) 
* Bedroom 1 w/ Queen bed (sleeps 2)
* Bedroom 2 w/ 2 x Twin over Twin bunk beds (sleeps 4)
* Bedroom 3 w/ Queen bed (sleeps 2)
* 2 full bathrooms and 1 half bath plus an outdoor shower can be found at this seaside beach home.

Guest Access:
EASY CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: It's easy to stay with us and secure too! Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.

The Neighborhood:
No touristy chain restaurants, shops or hotels. Just chillin' beach bar and grills, food (and beverage) trucks (like Surfin Rita Daiquiris To-Go), burger joints (like Pier 30 and Beachfront Deck Bar & Grill) and tasty fresh seafood options (like Seahorse Bar & Grill and Red Snapper) line the water. Surfside is your simple relaxing sandy beach, water sporting, surfing, fishing and crabbing vacation destination.

Getting Around:
A short 15 minute drive to 288 will take you to Lake Jackson offering many restaurants and shopping mall with many of your favorite shops and stores. You will also find the largest fishing hatchery in the country with free tours daily.

Or stay right where you are and enjoy Surfside's many seafood options, bar & grills, or golf cart rental options - all within walking distance.

We ensure our homes are fully and professionally cleaned after each guest stay guaranteeing your stay is nothing short of spectacular. In addition, all of our homes feature luxury hotel-quality/high thread count on all sheets, bedding, and bath towels. When you rent a 979 VPS home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' guest welcome starter supply of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, toilet paper and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and we make every effort to delight.

DOG-FRIENDLY:
Don't leave your furry friends behind! Our place is dog-friendly, ensuring that your four-legged family members can join in on the beachfront fun. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs considered, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee ($125 for 1 dog, extra $75 for 2) per stay.

VILLAGE OF SURFSIDE/ISLAND WATER:
Given the water quality fluctuations, it is recommended to bring your own bottled water for drinking and cooking during your stay. During high consumption periods, water from the faucets and toilets may have a tint.

WIFI/TV SERVICE:
Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!

979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:
All 979 Vacation Property Services rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance of check-in. Please send inquiry and details if your stay is more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1,000,000 liability protection and $10,000 damage insurance - No Security Deposit Required!

CANCELLATION POLICY:
For any new reservation, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations.

After that, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less the booking fee.

Reservations made on 3rd party channels such as Airbnb, VRBO, TripAdvisor, etc may be subject to their terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. Please reference the site where you originally reserved your stay.
