"As Michigan travellers, we have stayed in many hotels and motels. This was the best in a long time (very clean and loved the bed). It was a last minute trip for New Year's Eve and I was able to book a room in the evening that was immediately available for us settle into with 24-hour check-in. The remote keyless entry was wonderful, along with the included amenity room, which had extra towels, cups, plates, condiments, coffee/tea, pet supplies, and indoor/outdoor games. "This place is awesome and the gentleman that owns it is the kindest man you could imagine. It was like staying at my grandfather's house. Nothing fancy, but considering the alternatives in the area, the cleanliness and comfort far exceeded my expectations. Just a couple miles from tippy dam AND he has canoes and kayaks!! 10/10"

"We LOVE the Alpine. It's in a quiet location and the staff are wonderful! The rooms are always spotlessly clean. The Alpine is no-frills, but that makes it nice. Just a quaint, quiet place to relax in a spacious, clean room. The staff are friendly and courteous and We've stayed there twice now, and both stays were excellent. Much better than in one of the "brand name" hotels."

"We usually camp at national Forest Campground, but I found myself between RVs. We loved our stay at Evan‘s apartment. Super clean, Super comfortable, and downtown. This was my first time using Vrbo. I will definitely do it again."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a jacuzzi suite which was a wonderful surprise. The room & hallways were very clean. Pool & hot tub were larger than most hotels & maintained well. Breakfast was ok, waffles, bagels, cereal, scrambled eggs & sausage but wish some fruit or yogurt would have been offered."

"The cabin itself was very nice, however is more suited to watching TV than internet surfing. Nice comfy loveseat, small round table/desk. Also, thought the cabin was further off the road, but that's always a chance taken. Also, having the side entrance unlockable by code would be nice, but that's a quibble."

"The property brought back that nostalgia past! Very clean, beds comfortable! Walk out of your room to a small patio and sit on very nice rockers and stare out on the water and watch the boats go by! If you need all the amenities and outlets in all the rooms, not the place for you! If you want peace and to reflect this is your place! They are updating and working on the electrical! "I cant express how greatful i am that i chose to stay with matt and laura at their great cabin. They went above and beyond to make me and my family feel welcomed and cared for. Everything was perfect inside and our family had a great time!!! We will definitely be back next year, Thanks again matt and laura for a great stay!!!!"
