Laurie is not only a gracious host but makes sure you are comfortable at thier Luxury rental. We had a wonderful time and will be back yearly. "This is our second stay and it checks all the boxes for what was needed. The property manager allowed us an early check in as we were traveling from Texas. The property is always immaculate. The road is very rough with hills, but it doesn't have anything to do with the property. The property has all the amenities needed. I would stay again."

It is conveniently located near boat launches, a gas station that provides the majority of necessities, and town if you can’t find what you need at the gas station! The cabin was clean and well stocked. It was exactly what our small group needed for the perfect weekend getaway!"

"Lakeside Retreat was the perfect home for visiting our Downsville family. It was clean, extremely well-stocked, had plenty of parking and felt like home. The open kitchen, dining, living room floorplan is so welcoming. We are ‘lake people’ and the front porch did not disappoint. Also, the Green Egg turned out 10 fine ribeyes. We will definitely keep this home in mind for our next visit. "

It is nicely furnished for our group of 8 and the split bedroom floor plan was a plus. Each bedroom has a full bath with everything you need. It was very clean and we’d definitely stay again. "

But, since it was Thanksgiving I have to say I had to run to the store and buy some pots, because there simply not enough to cook a meal.
