"Beautiful view from our yurt, but it was not clear in the listing that the yurt had no running water or bathroom IN the yurt. We had a separate private bathroom a short distance from the yurt with 2 toilets, one being an incinerator type (A little complicated, but doable), a shower, and a sink. All dishes had to be taken from the yurt to the bathroom sink to wash them. There was bottled water in the yurt for drinking. Good refrigerator. The yurt is about 10 minutes up the hill from the main...

"We were making a multi-day road trip around the Big Island and needed a place to stay after a couple of days in Volcanoes NP. We chose the Lava Bus because it was such a unique property. We were so happy we did! It is a bit of a drive to get to any services (around 20 minutes to gas/groceries) but it was an amazing location for seeing the stars at night and enjoying peace and quiet. It felt very remote, but at the same time the bus itself was so well-appointed that it felt somehow luxurious....

"Absolutely loved staying here and Jacob and Morena are top notch hosts! We love to get out and about and they were able to suggest some really awesome places to visit. The place was clean and had everything we needed. Such a great vibe and we loved the sound of the frogs at night. If we're ever on the Big Island again we will definitely stay here. ☺️"

"We were looking to get away from the crowds, get a Hawaiian experience away from town. Dee's Farm did all this and got us a nice view of sunsets over the ocean. Prepare to be off grid, there are farm animals around. "

"Location was nice, within walking distance (5 mins) from a bay with Captain Cook Monument. Unit is above a very nice couple. Actual unit is very dated but was clean. A/C unit in main bedroom, otherwise there are fans. Washer/dryer are outside on 1st floor and shared wirh couple down stairs"
