"This hotel absolutely blew our minds. The 30 minute drive off road was very beautiful and at first made us a little nervous but quickly realized with 4 wheel drive its very easy and fun! Once we got there... We were blown away. The staff. The rooms. The food. THE PRICE. 10/10. The natural pool area to me might be one of the most beautiful places I've ever been in my entire life and literally put tears in our eyes. The amount of hiking, exploring, and outdoor activities could fill an entire week....

"Our stay at The Caribbean Paradise lodge was very pleasant, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The grounds are very clean , lots of wildlife you can hear and see. It is 10 minutes away from Tortuguero village by taxi boat, but the staff is always ready to help with that. There is no AC but the fan in the room was sufficient and we had comfortable nights and slept well enjoying the sounds of nature . "O local é incrível, no meio da natureza. Mas o quarto era muito antigo, sem janelas (só uma tela e cortinas). Com a forte chuva, o frio e a umidade tomaram conta do quarto. O chuveiro não estava legal. O atendimento foi muito bom. "

"The rain was particularly heavy when we checked in and the room we booked had a small leak, so we had a downstairs river view for the first night. This first room, though large with AC, just felt dark (the windows were looking onto the lower terrace so you felt you had to shut the curtains). The shower also would not get warm. However, for the second night we were moved into an upstairs river view room, and what a difference! It was so light and airy feeling - again with AC and great space....
