The boat house was being renovated, so they offered to put me in Yhe Pelican house. It was a tiny home, with a short small loft for a bedroom which had a ladder to access the bed. I couldn’t climb the ladder. I tried to rest on the futon. It was to hard. No Tv, games, not even a radio, no cell service. The place was clean as was the land scape. They refunded my cost. "This is exactly the type of property we were hoping for when we booked it. It is located in a very quiet country setting on the river front, but is still only about a fifteen minute drive to the downtown historic district of Nachitoches. There is so much to see and do, not to mention the great food choices at the local restaurants. We only had a couple of questions before our trip and the owners were very quick to respond and also were very welcoming for our pets. A great getaway. Highly...

"This apt was perfectly located for dealing with family in both Rapides and Cabrini hospital. The property is super cute, recently redone by the looks of it. Well equipped and stocked, comfortable and conveniently located. Owners were easy to get ahold of. Shower has crazy good water pressure. Only downside was the only bathroom is on second floor, and there isn’t really a sofa/living room. But not at all a dealbreaker and for the price and area, can’t beat it ! Would stay again."

"This location was great and everything we needed for a long term stay. Alexandria doesn't have many options but this one we felt safe and comfortable. The host provided great communication upon check-in and we only reached out to extend our stay a few times and they were very accommodating to the changes. Stayed from June to end of August. I would stay here again in the future. "

"The location is perfect for a quick getaway. Situated right on the Cane River, it offers excellent opportunities for fishing, cooking out, or simply spending time with family and friends. We would definitely book a stay here again and recommend it to our loved ones. It also serves as an ideal base for visiting the Christmas Festival."

"One of the coolest places I’ve stayed "

"The house was clean and had all the amenities listed. The beds are comfortable and we all slept well. The house is uniquely decorated which made our stay even more lovely. Location is a short drive to all area attractions. We had a problem with DVD player and the owner was super responsive. Highly recommend staying here."

"The property was very clean. The grounds are a beautiful lake setting in the woods. We really enjoyed our stay very much. Check out the pecan orchards down Hwy 1 if you get the chance."

"It’s close to the hospital I was working at on night shift. It’s an older property. Quiet neighborhood. I only slept and worked so it was good for me. If you plan on cooking I’d suggest bringing your own pans. The communication was excellent. It worked good for me. "
