"The property is very clean. Bed was comfortable. But, it needs comfortable seating. There is a couch, but it's not comfy. There is no TV. I guess it's my own fault for assuming. I honestly had no idea that a place like this was TV free. "

"The house is in a beautiful location and is setup wonderfully to joyfully cook a big meal with a group of people. The house is comfortable and inviting, if a bit worn down (chipping paint, rust, and some dusty shelves). The beds are comfortable as are the sitting and living rooms. The jetted bathtub in the pictures was out of order and there are instructions not to use the wood stoves. The hosts have very distinct instructions and their personality was clearly showcased. "

"The cottage is spacious for 2 people. It is very comfortable and easy to navigate to and from in a quiet neighborhood. It is well appointed. We chose it to have access to the south and west. The resident lab is friendly and likes head scratches. "

The entrance of the building doesn't look inviting... but the apartment is like you see in the pictures. Spacious and overall clean, it suited us. "Michael has done a fantastic job not only providing a comfortable and beautiful accommodation, but his creativity and skill shine in the many wonderful contraptions, puzzles and surprises around the property. A great place to stay for the gorgeous CT scenery, even better for the many opportunities of adventure scattered around the grounds. Will definitely recommend this to friends and family, and hope to come back in the future to find anything we missed!"

"My husband and I had a beautiful stay in Gertrude for two nights. The property is beautiful and feels secluded but is close and convenient to everything you need. The only thing to note is that the only cooking facilities are a small grill and a kettle for tea/coffee. Also a mini fridge. All worked perfectly, but good to know for planning!"

"The pictures were accurate and for a VRBO the furniture and beds were all extremely comfortable! Many times we’ve had a bed squeak all night or a mattress that was like concrete….not here! The driveway is very tight to get in and out of and if parking is occurring on both sides of the street, it’s even harder. The outside is rough but you can tell they’ve tried painting, etc."

"The location w/in walking distance to Federal Hill, and close to an amazing restaurant Troop. We stayed with 3 families and it was great to have that much space to spread out. We would have hoped there was TVs in the place for the littles, and were unaware of this going into the location, which was a suprise. The driveway was too tight for anything other than a sudan, but there was ample street parking. Great place to put your stuff down and a comfortable place to sleep. "
