"The cottage is clean, nicely decorated, and updated. The host was attentive, even bringing coffee filters on short notice when the supply ran out. I would definitely stay here again. "

"The only great thing about this listing were the beds. It was next to the main road entering Carmel so it is noisy and the property is actually not a home (this site is called vacation rentals by owners, right?) it is a run down inn. The bathroom has not been renovated in ages and the drain let off a sulphur scent that could be smelled in the bedroom. The description mentions an outdoor terrace but it is just an unappealing space off the parking space."

"This was the perfect get away from a Mn arctic blast in January. Sarah was responsive and helpful with every question we had and Mark was gracious in orienting us to the property and cottage upon our arrival. The cottage was small, comfortable and cozy which was perfect for our needs and the view was beautiful. The location was nice with easy access to Point Lobos and other trails. We truly enjoyed our stay at this property and would love to visit again."

"We had a delightful stay. The owners could not have been more kind or accommodating. There was a rain and heavy wind storm during our stay and the property lost power. The owners bent over backwards to make sure we had light and were comfortable. The property itself is gorgeous and we had everything we needed in the guest cabin, which was new and modern with high ceilings and four glass doors to view the garden and gorgeous cypress trees. "The property was wonderful. It was obviously old but very clean and comfortable. You couldn’t ask for a better location with a ton of privacy. We wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future. "

"Cleaned everything except sheets and was charged extra for not washing sheets ( stripped bed and left sheets in tub with towels as per hotels ) but no washer and dryer. 4pm checkin and 10am checkout seems like the host is prioritizing the cleaning crew over the guests. Instructions mention cottage although the room appears to be a half carport walled in under a house."
