"Amazing place!! We stayed here the night before getting the ferry but we would love to visit again just to stay. The reception and service was brilliant and the food absolutely delicious. An outstanding chef, and all staff went above and beyond. A special place for sure...we wish we had a local place like this to go to."

"Lovely rooms for a short stay in Folkestone and a fantastic breakfast. Only small comment would be that in the summer when the day starts really early, the shutters don't really block the light so we were not able to have much of a lie in - although this is personal preference and only a small comment on an otherwise lovely stay."

He was gracious, kind, and quick to respond to any questions—something I truly appreciate when traveling. His yard is beautifully kept, with lush greenery and blooming flowers that offer a peaceful spot to enjoy a cup of tea or quietly plan the day ahead. "Lovely little pub and rooms, food is very good although it's at a price point where you'd expect that. Lots of German and Dutch tourists stopping and a few locals. Not much of a pub vibe as it's all given over to dining but the room were spacious and comfortable."

"We were warmly welcomed by our host and were shown all of the kitchen amenities, common areas, and then our room. Our room was beautiful and elegant, and we had our own ensuite bathroom. It is conveniently located close to the Port of Dover (if you're taking the ferry). My only recommendation would be to add a foam topper to the bed for extra comfort... the bed was VERY hard and we both woke up stiff the next morning. Other than the bed, it was a beautiful stay."

"Great place for our stay. They even left our breakfast outside our door as we were leaving early for our channel crossing. Thank you much apreciated."

"Used the hotel as a night stop before an early ferry. It served thus purpose well was clean fidy with an easy check in helpful manager / owner. The hotel is a little dated but tidy and great for our 1 night stay only 15 minutes from either the ferry or eurotunnel."

"Great, friendly welcome and really convenient for the gig we were going too! Little disappointed that they suddenly stopped serving food just when we went down which meant we had try and and find something last minute but other than that it was ideal for our needs. Also.... the fluffiest towels I have ever come across!!"
