"Anembo" Country Cottage (peace and tranquility) in the Suburbs & close to City!

Imagine yourself arriving at Brisbane airport and/or having a long drive, then facing the joys of City traffic as you make your way to the northern suburbs of Brisbane, you turn off South Pine Road into Eatons Crossing Road and within minutes you feel like you are in the country, happily looking at the Koala warning signs!

The relief from your long trip only heightens when you reach the entrance to our property as all you can see are trees and luscious lawns. Upon obtaining the keys from the key safe, including the remote to open the security front gate, you can expect to be welcomed by a "quietness" which seems at odds, considering only moments ago, you were in amongst the traffic.

"Anembo" which is an Indigenous word of our First Nations people of Australia (origins of the word remain unknown) means 'peace and tranquility'! This is exactly what you will experience by staying at "Anembo Country Cottage" . The Cottage offers you, your family and/or friends complete privacy and your own piece of heaven, during your stay with us.

Upon arrival to the property, you will gain access to the keys and remote to the security front gate, take the gravel road to the left towards the Cottage, where you can choose to park under the large double carport or in front of the Cottage.

As soon as you approach the Cottage, it opens up to you all that is on offer. This includes an "industrial designed" unit to the right between the carport and the hedge. To your left you are welcomed into a 3 bedroom Cottage, the outside of which is deceiving of its actual size insider.

After exploring inside the Cottage, you walk onto an expansive verandah which runs the length of the Cottage, looking onto a firepit and a 5 person spa. Turning to your right again, you look onto a hammock and then an expansive gym facility, topped off by an infrared sauna at the end of the undercover patio area.

The Cottage has two separate outdoor living spaces which include an outside lounge and outdoor dining setting, it’s own firepit including timber provided.

The Cottage has recently been fitted out to include a range of gym facilities and a vast range of sporting equipment (which although shared, will be only used by the hosts when Guests are not there, soo as to ensure Guests entire use and enjoyment of the Cottage and surrounding gardens and privacy.

There is nothing that we haven’t thought of, to ensure that Anembo is a “home away from home”, without all the distractions preventing you from just relaxing and/or enjoying the many attractions, most of which are within half hour’s drive of the Cottage!

The Cottage is located with 5 minutes of the famous Eatons Hill Hotel and many varied dining venues and within short driving distance to Clear Mountain, Samford Valley and the township of Samford, Dayboro, Old Petrie Town, Kurwongbah Lakeside, North Pine Dam, Lake Samsonvale and within 40 minutes of the City of Brisbane.

The Cottage is within 5 minutes of the Southpine Sporting complex which hosts many regional, state and National sporting events, as does Samford for such events as archery. Adjoining suburb of Brendale is home to a recently built and designed world class BMX track. Many of our guests stay with us so as to be in close proximity to these various sporting facilities!

The Cottage, although within the suburbs is situated on 2 acres and has all the features and feel of the country, where you rarely see or hear any neighbours, enjoy such luxuries as free range home grown eggs, fresh honey, homegrown chillies and fresh herbs.

For the cooking enthusiasts, the Cottage is set up such that the only thing missing is a thermomix.

There are plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy, including its own Barbecue, sitting around the firepit during those colder months toasting marshmallows, enjoying a good red, or sitting in the hot tub which overlooks the firepit enjoying the stars of an evening!

"Anembo" Indigenous for 'quiet place and peace and tranquility' says it all when staying with us. Situated on 2 acres, you are surrounded by nature!

The Cottage is close to Eatons Hills Hotel, Restaurants & many sporting facilities, i.e. South Pine Sporting Complex, Pine Rivers BMX track & Samford Sporting complex. Escape city life, or visit the big smoke, all the while enjoying the country feel of the Cottage, incl the use of sauna, spa, firepit, push bikes, gym, sporting equipment & games!
The space
One of the many highlights of the Cottage include an outside fire pit & timber provided, sauna, spa, hammock to relax or to lie on the outside lounge soaking up the sun, have the choice of dining inside or outside, enjoy fire heaters in each bedroom, access to smart TVs in each bedroom (with Netflix, Disney Plus, Stan & Foxtel), well equipped office (if necessary) and a great library to cater for varied interests. We have gone all out to provide a number of gym equipment, sporting equipment and the essential range of board games, which really means you are on holidays!

You want for nothing in the well equipped and large kitchen/dining room, including well known recipe books.

To add to the 'health retreat' feel of the Cottage, we have included for your enjoyment various forms of relaxation equipment and wellness focused aspects.

The Cottage is on acreage which is extremely secure, with a security gate upon entry (entry only permitted by a known code or have access to a security buzzer). The Cottage also features a large double carport, which has been used by guests for large vehicles, including small trucks whilst staying with, undertaking contract work).
Guest access
Guests will have full access to the 2 bedroom, plus study/bedroom Cottage with own and very private use of outside entertaining area, complete with outside dining table, lounge, barbeque, own firepit, spa, sauna, own gym, along with your own private garden and parking facilities, including parking permitted in front of the Cottage for those with limited mobility and/or ease of unloading bags and/or groceries!
Other things to note
In addition to the Cottage, we have recently fitted out a 20 foot shipping container as an additional 2 bedroom and/or separate office facility, which can be hired out for an additional fee during your stay, allowing the number of Guests to be increased to 8 people or to be reconfigured as as seperate office facility if this best suits the needs of the Guests fitting their stay with us.

It is ideal for those guests travel with Grandparents, or for those Guests are retired to work normal business hours fitting their stay with us, albeit being permitted to who working from “home” and want the opportunity to close the door behind them and be able to concentrate on your work. It is fully fitted out with appropriate lighting, electricity, air conditioner and a unit and coffee making facilities, including a small fridge.

It is extremely important that Guests confirm the correct number of Guests staying with us due to increased demand on facilities sub as our Bio- Recycle unit as the system is designed for use by only 10 people.

I’m having said that, we have had some Guests ask that additional family members stay with us in their own caravans and/or staying in tents. We will do our best too accomodate your needs, but may require us to order in a temporary bath/toilet facility to new able to cater for the number of Guests. This will of course result in an additional fee been incurred by Guests, which can be confirmed prior to your stay with us.

Our dog Marley, who lives with us at our residence, loves any opportunity to be patted and pampered by those staying at the Cottage!

Having said that, a hidden fence exists along the hedge, where she will leave you to your peace and quiet, unless you make it clear to her that you wish for her to visit you and she considers the pampering worth her while, given the "pain threshold" to visit qqqqqq as the Cottage. For those scared of dogs, if you do not pay Marley any attention, she will remain on our side of the property.
